2024 has flown by so fast. Before it makes its final exit I have to say thanks to my family, friends, clients and support people, vendors for helping me do and be all that I am. Today I ended the work day with a trip to the park.

I just felt like I needed to get out after a lightning and thunderstormy day indoors.

I wanted to post this while I was listening to the tranquility of the water. I was just to nervous about dropping my phone in the water. It brought me some peace I hope you like it too, enjoy.

I just finished working on this brown wool jacket project. It was adapted from a customers older fleece jacket. She liked the style and fit and wanted a warmer version. ✅ Done.
It feels so warm and nice. Now I want a coat like this 😆 seriously I really like how it turned out.
Stay tuned... I just might make one similar to this. I need to work on my welt pocket skillz, while I was working on the jacket, 🤔 I totally forgot how to do welt pockets. Before this jacket, it's been at least four or five years since I've made something with this kind of pocket. I stuck to it. Figured it out and now she's ready to wear. 🙂🤗

I'm asked a lot if I can recreate something for clients based on something they either already own and love the fit of or something they've seen somewhere.
Usually my first response is, send me a picture, if they haven't already included one. If they have, I analyze the picture and see if it's in my skill set and let them know.

This was a custom request jacket for a wedding to be worn by the mother of the bride. She chose her design. She chose her fabric. I created the pattern and did the sewing. Once she received it, she was so happy she couldn't wait to wear it. As you can see she tried it on and loved it and sent me her feedback. While chit chatting with a friend yesterday, I tried to explain that this top goes so perfectly with the multi color high waist skirt, that I feel there was some divine intervention cause I didn't plan for this. I was thinking a black skirt or pants and it would be 🔥. Maybe even winter white pants and the top would pop. Either way I'm more than happy it looks and feels great.
